Eco Chic

In honor of Earth Day, I bring you some of my favorite and completely chic Eco friendly brands. Lets start with Alkemie Jewelry whose designs are made of 100% reclaimed metal & manufactured by hand in downtown Los Angeles. Each piece from their collection feels like the perfect mix of new and vintage with lots of inspiration from nature. Then of course we have Stella, but what I think is really impressive was her ability to create an Eco sunglass line in an industry where that was pretty unheard of, besides the fact that I covet every single thing that comes out of the brand. Next is Mat & Nat, the perfect go to line if you’re looking for an everyday casual but sophisticated bag, made of very high quality synthetic materials, these are bags you’ll have forever. Mar Y Sol has another wonderful story, they are a socially responsible accessories brand that collaborates with artists in New York and artisans in Madagascar. Each piece is made by hand using natural materials sourced sustainably from Madagascar’s forests. I definitely need one for summer. Next, Monique Pean‘s designs are not only completely unique and gorgeous but she uses only conflict-free materials and she’s a favorite of the first lady. Last but certainly not least is Carrie Parry, I mean I could totally live in that tunic, all of her materials are sourced and created in socially and environmentally responsible ways while supporting artisan communities worldwide.
